Tips for making acai bowl to help with weight loss:

  • Watch your portion size

The bigger the portion size, the higher the amount of calories and sugar. Be sure to control your portion and use smaller sized bowls.

  • Control your toppings and sweeteners

Even though toppings like granola and cookie butter are delicious, they are also high in calories. It is important to limit your toppings and sweeteners like honey. Instead, add more fruits since they contain natural sugars.

  • Add more protein

Add more protein to your acai bowl like peanut butter or chia seeds - these can keep you full and curb your appetite and limit your food intake.

  • Add some greens

Balance your acai bowl with some greens like spinach and kale by blending them together.
